What If Ghost Busters Was Shot In 1954?

Here’s a great independent trailer of what the Ghostbuster’s movie would have looked like if it was produced in 1954 instead of 1984. The result is Ghost Busters, so watch it buster!

Recasting Futurama?! But… Why?

Recasting Futurama?! Looks like it according to Phil LaMarr's Facebook page.

Recasting Futurama?! Looks like it according to Phil LaMarr's Facebook page.

LaMarr, who plays Hermes Conrad as well as PreacherBot, states that a casting notice has been posted for, “all of the main characters voiced by the 5 regular cast members Billy West, Katey Sagal, John DiMaggio, Maurice LaMarche and Tress MacNeille.”

And below is the wording of that casting notice:

We are starting casting immediately for Futurama, a half-hour animated comedy created by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen. Descriptions of these established characters follow, along with links to clips of previous episodes for reference.

Letting us know about the Futuramacasting notice.

Letting us know about the Futuramacasting notice.

This comes as a gigantic shock as just last month creator David X. Cohen explicitly stated in a Wired.com interview that the voices would not be recasted. So, why the complete 180 degree turn on that decision? It was known that the show was coming back to Comedy Central with fewer writers and a smaller staff, so is this just another means to save money?

John DiMaggio asks on his Facebook page if anyone would watch a new Futurama with a different voice cast, and the answer is an overwhelming, “No.” In the comments some goes as far as saying – including myself – that maybe people don’t purchase any of the products from the advertisers. Maybe…

It seems as if John DiMaggio has confirmed it.

It seems as if John DiMaggio has confirmed it.

I’m just still in shock about this news. I sure do hope it turns out to be one of those there internet rumors. But, it’s not looking that way…

Geocaching For Fun, But Not So Much Profit

Lindsay and I woke up too early yesterday. Not too early to be anywhere in particular, just too early to actually be awake the day after the Fourth of July. Of course the reason was that Gus needed to go outside since his barking and whining was what forced us to get out of bed at 6:30 in the morning. Although it hurt to have our eyes open at that ungodly hour, it was nice to be able to be ready to start the day early too on what would be a beautiful New England day. It also gave us a chance to try out something that was saw on last week’s Totally Rad Show (::cough:: That we also happen to be a part of ::cough::) – Geocaching.

Lindsay Finding the Geocache in Portsmouth

Lindsay Finding the Geocache in Portsmouth

Geocaching is quite simple to explain – it’s simply a treasure hunt. Other Geocacher’s hide tiny little capsules around the country and it’s the job of other Geocachers to find them. Once you do find one you unscrew the capsule to find a little piece of paper inside which you get to write you name and date on and look over all they names of the people who found the same cache. Sometimes cache’s can be a somewhat larger than the normal capsule and contain little trinkets to look at, or for you to leave one of your own for others to find.

Now how do you find these tiny little capsules, that you can see by the picture above is no larger than a bullet? Well, GPS of course! The Geocachers that leave the cache log it’s coordinates with their GPS and then post it online to sites like Geocaching.com, which is the site that we used. Along with posting the coordinates most Cacher’s post a clue, riddle or sometimes a picture to help you along in finding it. It’s a world wide treasure hunt that was happening right in our back yard!

Baby Jayden Straight Chillin’

I’ve had all these videos on my phone now forever and I just haven’t done anything with them. Well, I finally started playing around with iMovie and like it a lot. So that means that I might started flooding YouTube and my blog with a ton of crappy videos that no one else will care about except my immediate family. But isn’t that exactly what the internet is for? Too bore the masses with your own uninteresting life?

Back in February, before he could talk or walk, Jayden was running around my mother’s store just having the type of good time that only an 8 month (at the time) could have.

Betsy Hits 200,000 Miles!!!

The news is over a month old now, but I just finally got around to pulling the video off of my phone and putting it up on YouTube. As you can see, Lindsay’s 1999 Toyota Corolla “Betsy” went over the 200,000 mile mark on May 17th. Please mind the cheesy song in the background. It was the only decent song on iTunes that had “200,000 miles” in it’s lyrics…
